Wisconsin’s First and Most Experienced TMS Center

The TMS Center of Wisconsin is pleased to be the first in the state to offer TMS therapy. We are committed to helping patients who fail to receive adequate benefit from prior antidepressant medication improve the quality of their lives. Our goal is to deliver this state of the art treatment while focusing on patient safety, comfort and privacy.

We work collaboratively with our referral sources and welcome input towards mutual treatment goals.

All of our staff have undergone comprehensive training in the NeuroStar TMS system.

We are conveniently located next to the Mayfair Mall, central to all parts of the Metro Milwaukee area.

Meet Our Team

Dr. DeMuri is Medical Director of The TMS Center of Wisconsin.

Bernadette DeMuri is the Medical Director of Associated Mental Health Consultants and The TMS Center of Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. DeMuri completed residencies in both Psychiatry and Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals.

She is board certified in General Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. DeMuri has had extensive experience in community mental health, consultation liaison psychiatry and private practice psychiatry. Her interests include the treatment of mood disorders, including treatment resistant depression.

Dr. DeMuri has expertise in the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression, being the first psychiatrist in the state to offer this technology in 2010.

She has published several articles and book chapters on the treatment of mood disorders and has presented on the topic at national conferences.

Katie Mathews is Coordinator/Technician of the TMS Center of Wisconsin.

Katie Mathews serves as the TMS Coordinator/Technician at the TMS Center of Wisconsin. With a solid foundation in sociology, she brings a unique perspective to her role, comprehending the intricate interplay between social factors and mental health.

Having extensive experience in offering hands-on support for children on the autism spectrum and navigating complex cases, Katie has cultivated a profound sense of empathy, patience, and a strong passion for mental health

Curt Ammel is the Program Director of the TMS Center of Wisconsin He is also a TMS Clinical Operator.

Curt is Clinic Director of Associated Mental Health Consultants. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and his master’s degree in Education Counseling at University of Wisconsin- Platteville. He specializes in individual and family counseling with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disturbances. He also treats adult issues including stress management, anger, depression, anxiety and interpersonal communication.
